In August 2017, the Functional Food Centre changed its name to the Oxford Brookes Centre for Nutrition and Health (OxBCNH) to be representative of the research and consultancy that we conduct and future areas we wish to explore.
OxBCNH carries out a range of high valued research and consultancy services on behalf of clients from the health and food industry including manufacturers, retailers and suppliers ranging from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to multinational global organisations. We have been providing research and consultancy services to the food industry for more than 25 years.
We continue our research into energy regulation, food intake and appetite control, specialising in human studies. In particular, our research and consultancy areas include the metabolic response to foods and their ingredients (including glycaemic and insulinaemic response) and investigating food components and their activities (including polyphenol bioavailability and bioaccessibility).
We have recently added a set of nutrition and health clinics to our portfolio. These clinics are aimed at the general public to assist with improving general health and well-being. We also offer bespoke services and tailor-made packages for companies.
