Grocery Accelerator supports and grows the most innovative and ambitious food and drink brands. The company achieves this through access to investment, consumer insights, distribution opportunities, trade advise and mentoring.
Having launched the UK’s first independent accelerator programme for the sector, the company has grown its services to include an incubator space on Ocado (The Discovery Shop) that has helped launch over 100 new brands with their first national listing. The company has also delivered its first UK market programme for overseas brands, helping to launch a group of Australian brands at IFE 2019.
Working at the forefront of innovation, the company expects to announce its first corporate venturing programme in partnership with businesses looking to work with and access start-ups. The first move in this direction is a programme to explore how healthier challenger brands can help address childhood obesity, funded by Big Society Capital and Guys & Thomas’ Hospital Charity for which Grocery Accelerator is running a feasibility study over the Summer of 2019 ahead of a pilot this Autumn.
