Food & Function is a monthly peer-reviewed journal (published on a not-for-profit basis by the Royal Society of Chemistry) which provides a unique venue to publish work at the interface of the chemistry, physics and biology of food. The journal focuses on food and the functions in relation to health, including: the physical properties and structure of food; the chemistry of food components; the biochemical and physiological actions; nutrition and health aspects of food.

The Journal is led by Editor-in-Chief Professor Kevin Croft (University of Western Australia), who is supported by our team of five Associate Editors; Professor Steven Feng Chen (Peking University, China), Professor Cesar Fraga (University of Buenos Aires, Argentina), Professor Mario Ferruzzi (Purdue University, USA) Professor Tim Foster (University of Nottingham, UK) and Professor Isabel C.F.R. Ferreira (Polytechnic Institute of Bragan├ža) who handle all submissions through peer review.
