Express Contract Drying Ltd ( ECD ) was established by David Mc Dermott in 1991 at Tregaron as a provider Toll Spray Drying and Toll Powder Blending Services. In 2001 ECD announced major expansion with the establishment of Spray Drying Agglomeration and Powder Blending facilities at Rassau Industrial Estate in South Wales . This decision was taken to meet customer increasing demand for both its Toll Food Ingredient Processing Services and its Provenance Spray Dried Ingredients range.

Today ECD has become the largest manufacturer of Non Dairy Spray Dried Food Ingredients in the UK and one of the largest manufacturers of spray dried vinegar powders, fruit juice powders and vegan mct oil powder in the EU.

Continued Investment since 2001 in our staff, additional manufacturing facilities, innovation centre, pilot plant facilities, laboratory testing facilities, supply chain management team, research and development team has resulted in the world class leading business we have become.

With an annual Spray Drying capacity of 5000 tonnes per annum , Powder Blending Capacity of 20,000 tonnes per annum and recently announced £1.8 million investment expansion of Powder Granulation facilities during 2020. ECD shall ensure that it remains at the forefront of the Food Ingredients Industry, with what we believe is the most modern facilities of their type in EU.
