Michele has over 30 years’ experience working as a nutritionist, including previous roles at the British Nutrition Foundation (1993-1997) and IGD (1997-2000). She set up her own nutrition and regulatory consultancy in 2020, focusing on the interface between science and related EU regulations within the food, dietary supplement and pharmaceutical industries. Michele has been Scientific Adviser to the HFMA since 2004, and other activities include compiling dossiers for regulatory authorisation and advising on protocols for scientific research to support applications.
Her talk will cover scientific understanding of vitamin D and its role in the immune system to date, recent developments and scientific advice, and government recommendations for vitamin D intake.
