Felix has overall responsibility for leading our business development strategy and implementation and serves as advisor to the chief executive. He has a proven track-record advising clients in the areas of resource management, recycling and waste solutions, and circular economy strategy.
Felix is a member of the UN Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI)’s Investor Working Group on Plastics. The Group aims to raise investor awareness and understanding of the impacts, risks and opportunities related to plastic, to explore the materiality of plastics to companies across the plastic value chain, and to provide input on resources that PRI develops to support signatory understanding of the issue.
Felix has worked across all areas of commercial sustainability, nearly a decade of which was at Tesco PLC. He started his career gaining planning consents and delivering 800,000 sq. ft. of the world’s most sustainable supermarkets. This involved significant political and community engagement to bring new design and technologies to fruition which led to the world’s first Zero Carbon Supermarket.
Felix then published the Tesco PLC Corporate Responsibility Report for two years, both of which won awards.
Latterly Felix moved to Procurement where he lead the customer recycling team including overseeing all hazardous waste from both customers and business generated, including pioneering many backhauling solutions.
Finally Felix lead the Consumables buying team with an annual expenditure of £100m including specific oversight of the Tesco Pharmacy operations expenditure.
