By having a natural risk reward mentality, Damien Lee has always had an interest in running his own businesses. From Australia to Denmark, Singapore and Afghanistan, he’s built his companies from the ground up, including a financial head hunting company, an international security company, maritime communications and more.
With all the businesses Damien has ever built, they’ve been in industries he’d no experience within, this allows him to lead with a fresh new perspective, carving new routes to market through industries that may not have changed for many years.
His addiction to business came to a halt in 2014 when he was diagnosed with stage 4 chest cancer and given weeks. After miraculously winning with the disease. he decided to create a new business producing the healthiest instant noodle - Mr Lee's Pure Foods.
2017 saw Mr Lee’s Pure Foods put on South Western Railways, East Midlands Trains and Jetstar Airlines Australia. The following years the brand launched in Ocado and over 1000 supermarkets across Australia with Woolworths, Metro & EzyMart and Harris Farm Markets, and the U.K. with Holland and Barrett and Norwegian Airlines.
Damien and his team have also developed an innovative, interactive ‘Noodle Kiosk’ providing a 24/7 healthy hot food option. The digital vending machines launched at University of Huddersfield, SafeStay in London, Enterprise Rent-A-Car offices and Kaplan Residences in Nottingham with more to roll out across the UK and abroad soon.
The finalist of Amazon Growing Business Awards for Entrepreneur of the Year 2017 and the Sunday Times Maserati 100 2018 list, he leads seminars, conferences, talks at universities, aids charities and is building the Mr Lee’s Foundation.
Mid 2017, with the company thriving, Damien was diagnosed throat and neck cancer entirely disconnected to his previous illness. After recovering, 3 surgeries and 54 treatments later, Damien's cancer came back in late 2018. After undergoing further treatments (69 in total) Damien says he doesn’t regret a thing. Having beaten cancer for the third time, he is more convinced than ever of the power of healthy eating and is excited to expand the brand.
