Anne Holdoway RD

Anne’s experience within private healthcare, the NHS and industry spans more than 28 years. 

After qualifying in Leeds in 1986 in Nutrition and Dietetics, Anne gained clinical experience in several London teaching hospitals. Anne then pursued a career in the medical nutrition industry initially as a Company Nutritionist and later as Product Manager followed by a move into International Product development. Anne returned to the clinical profession in 1993, working across many specialist areas including gastroenterology and nutrition support, conducting research and audit, and successfully securing new services in healthcare Trusts.  Anne developed a private dietetic practice in tandem with NHS positions.

In recent years Anne has dedicated time to work at a National level within the British Dietetic Association, is a Council member of the British Association for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition and has contributed to national initiatives including NICE working groups, all with the aim of influencing standards of nutritional care at a national level. Anne’s current clinical roles include developing a new service in Palliative Care including the dietary management of Long Term Conditions, in conjunction with her private practice which primarily focusses on supporting patients with functional gut disorders and gastrointestinal conditions and those undergoing gastric band placement. Anne is also part way through studying for a Professional Doctorate in Health at the University of Bath.
