Rebecca’s role at QIB (formally known as the Institute of Food Research) revolves around the development of academic research into technology, products and services that have the potential to impact society as a whole. She has access to the work of just over 250 scientists working at the institute and their combined experience and expertise. She has managed large scale product development and trialling programmes in 14 different countries over the past 11 years and has significant experience of gaining stakeholder engagement and buy-in. She has recently provided technical advice at national and European level in regards to personalised nutrition, healthy eating and developing capacity in the field of food composition. She is also supporting QIB efforts to reduce the burden of diet influenced noncommunicable disease in the African and Eastern Mediterranean regions.
