Dr Helen Mitchell has worked for over 30 years as in-house product expert and Application Director with specialist food ingredient companies including Pfizer Food Science, Cultor Food Science and Danisco Sweeteners. As a Consultant she now supports ingredients companies entering the food & beverage and nutraceutical markets by providing effective technical and marketing expertise. She is dedicated to providing effective communication across the disciplines of food science, food technology, nutrition and medicine while using her broad and in-depth knowledge of novel and functional food ingredients. She has extensive experience in sugar and salt reduction or replacement and has published in many prestigious peer reviewed journals and food science/technology handbooks. Dr Mitchell is a seasoned presenter and visiting lecturer and examiner for the MSc and BSc courses in Food Science and Nutrition at Oxford Brookes University.
