Dr Glenys Jones

Glenys is a passionate nutrition communicator, dedicated to driving professionalism within the sector. She graduated from the University of Surrey with a BSc (Hons) in Nutrition, completed a Masters in Sports Physiology and a PhD in nutrition, health and performance.

Glenys went on to work at the Medical Research Council’s Human Nutrition Research unit as a nutritionist specialising in public health and communications. There she was responsible for a range of public engagement and knowledge transfer activities. This cemented her passion for nutrition communications and education, the responsible reporting of science in the media and also marked the start of Glenys’ work in promoting nutrition education in the training of all healthcare professionals. 

Glenys currently works at the Association for Nutrition as their Deputy Chief Executive & Communications Manager, where her expertise is used to support the regulation, governance and profile raising of qualified nutrition professionals as a source of trusted advice on nutrition science.
