Professor of Sport and Exercise Science, Newcastle University and Project Lead for 'Protein for Life'

Professor Emma Stevenson

Emma Stevenson is Professor of Sport and Exercise Science in the Institute of Cellular Medicine in the Faculty of Medical Sciences at Newcastle University. Emma is also a senior researcher in the Human Nutrition Research Centre at Newcastle University. Emma’s research focuses on the effects of exercise and nutritional interactions on human metabolism and nutritional interventions that influence appetite regulation and postprandial metabolism. Emma’s recent work has focussed on dairy and dairy proteins. Emma has also worked as a consultant Sports Nutritionist in premier league football in England and with several international sports squads.  Emma is an Academic Associate of the Sport and Exercise Nutrition Register (SENr) and a member of The Physiological Society, The Nutrition Society, British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences and Professionals in Nutrition for Exercise and Sport (PINES).
