Managing Director, Foster and Brown Research Limited
Pauline Foster, has over 25 years’ experience in private and public sector research, and set up Foster and Brown Research in 1998 following 8 years as a Sensory Scientist for Unilever. Pauline has extensive experience of designing and carrying out research surveys, particularly with children and young people. Having originally trained in flavours and then perfumery she uses a range of, mainly online, methodologies, including implicit and explicit techniques. With an academic background in food science and nutrition and then neuroscience, Pauline is particularly interested in emotion and what motivates people to make decisions they do.
In 2007 she was visiting professor at Cornel University in the USA lecturing on appropriate survey methods and techniques and has academic links to the University of West of England, Warwick and Oxford Universities. She has been co-author on a number of academic papers, most recently in the Lancet last year.
Pauline lives in the Cotswolds with her husband two part-time children (both at University) and two demanding cats.
