A chemist with over 30 years’ experience in the food industry. I am currently Managing Director Inglehurst Foods Ltd, a food research consultancy. Within Inglehurst Foods, I have a role as Technical Consultant to the AVA, a position I have held since 1996.
I am Chairman of the Hygiene and Food Law Committee of the European Vending Association. Outside vending I am a member of the committee of the Food Group of the Royal Society of Chemistry and have organised conferences on functional foods, vitamins, flavonoids and non-targeted methods of analysis of foods.
I am a visiting lecturer in the Food Safety Group, Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Birmingham.
I edited the Essential Guide to Food Additives published by the RSC in 2014.
