Farming and Food Consultant, Savills
Michael Mack has been working with direct retailer's for 16 years. During this time he has appraised projects for DEFRA, delivered LEADER grant funds and now works for Savills supporting farming and food businesses across the UK in establishing new food enterprise. Michael regularly commentates on food issues in both specialist food publications and across the farming media. His key area of interest is in enabling small farming and food businesses to identify future food trends and business strategies to fulfil these opportunities.
In addition to his consultancy work he has also been the managing agent for FARMA, the National Farmers' Retail and Markets Association and has completed a Nuffield Farming Scholar where he looked into the challenges facing the next generation of farmers.
