Director of Vegan Corporate Projects, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals

Dawn Carr

Dawn Carr is director of vegan corporate projects for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) Foundation, a UK-based charity dedicated to establishing and protecting the rights of all animals. While PETA may be best known for high-profile investigations and celebrity-driven campaigns, Dawn works largely behind the scenes in the Corporate Affairs department, building mutually beneficial relationships with the food industry to develop and promote vegan food options. Vegan for more than 30 years herself, she can demystify the process of catering to vegans and loves helping restaurants implement easy, brand-appropriate fixes to open their menus to the booming vegan market. She also oversees PETA's annual Vegan Food Awards, celebrating the growing variety and availability of vegan speciality foods and recognising the many companies that are embracing the market for plant-based foods.
