Business Consultant, Food Anthropologist and Freelance Writer

Katrina Kollegaeva

Katrina Kollegaeva is a business consultant, food anthropologist and a freelance writer (Guardian, FT, Delicious).  Born in Estonia to Russian/Ukrainian parents, she came to London in 1998 as an asylum seeker. Food became an important way to both connect to her roots and to this country. Having studied psychology and worked in management, she changed her career to food, including 8 years with the Soil Association where she was supporting the food service with sustainability standards, such as Food for Life Served Here.  Now Katrina is working with food businesses and contract caterers, helping them to combine commerciality with food storytelling.
