Jamie founded and grew Glasses Direct into Europe’s largest online glasses retailer, shipping thousands of pairs a day and selling into 12 countries. He is now Industry Head, Retail, at Google UK. Jamie also co-founded entrepreneurship campaigning organisation StartUp Britain at No.10 Downing Street, which was announced in the Chancellor’s 2011 budget speech, personally launched by the Prime Minister, and is still active today. He served as an advisor for 3 years on the Shadow Chancellor's New Enterprise Council from 2007-2010. In 2009 Jamie received the Queen's Award for Enterprise Promotion. Last year, he was appointed OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List 2015, and received an honorary MBA from Bristol, University of the West of England.
