Ben leads IGD’s retail team, responsible for its global insight programmes that cover retailer performance and strategy, grocery market development and tracking innovation and best practice.
The team delivers insights through its Retail Analysis online insight service; through IGD’s conference programme including a series of IGD Trade Briefings; and directly to individual clients through the IGD Academy.
He is a very experienced presenter, regularly delivering retail, shopper and category insights to audiences around the world, from bespoke boardroom briefings to large conferences.
Ben joined IGD in early 2004, firstly as international retail analyst, before managing the research on IGD’s subscription website Retail Analysis, and then five years leading IGD’s shopper and category team.
Ben started his career in the market research team at UK retailer Safeway, before undertaking roles in competitor analysis, promotions management and finally Investor Relations, working on the Morrisons/Safeway activity.
