The Embassy of Japan, Zen-Noh and Nourinchukin bank co-hosted a live attraction at Food Matters Live 2017 called ‘What’s Inside Japanese Ingredients’. This was the first time that we have been involved in Food Matters Live, and we were extremely pleased with the positive response and turn out. Food Matters Live is an excellent platform that gathers food experts, government, businesses and media just to mention a few, and we are grateful for the opportunity to share our information with such a wide ranging audience across the food and drink industry.
Takashi Hiranaka, Agriculture Counsellor, Embassy of Japan
Food Matters Live provides an excellent platform for Italian companies in the food and drink industry. It is the leading cross sector event in the UK offering an opportunity for Italian companies to exhibit their innovative new products and ideas to a broad audience of buyers and influencers. As the event continues to evolve we are committed to make this a must for an Italian presence.
Leonardo Simonelli, President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce
We exhibited at Food Matters Live for the first time this year and found the event a very worthwhile experience. We have made some really positive connections with buyers from retail and foodservice as well as the key UK distributors. We’ll be back again in 2018.

Food Matters 2017 was again a very interactive and dynamic event with a strong focus on innovation in food and nutrition. The large group of Dutch companies presented a wide variety of innovative food products and concepts, both via company stands in the pavilion as well as via presentations in the lectures programme. With this year’s focus on key topics of “Sports & nutrition” and “Green proteins” the innovative power of the Dutch food ecosystem was highlighted for establishing UK partnerships.
Jeroen Wouters, Director International Food Valley NL, The Netherlands
The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands has been involved with Food Matters Live for the last 4 years. Every year we have seen the show grow bigger and incorporate a seminar programme that is topical and relevant for Dutch innovative food and drink companies. In 2017 the Embassy, in close cooperation with Food Valley NL, organised a seminar about ‘Food & Exercise’ with a specific focus on proteins. Being able to hold this seminar on the 'International Innovations stage" gave us the chance to showcase Dutch innovation in food technology and to promote Anglo-Dutch cooperation in food innovation. We are already looking forward to continuing our successful collaboration with Food Matters Live in 2018.
Tim Heddema/Martijn Bergmans, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, London, United Kingdom
Food Matters Live 2017 was an innovation driven trade show, where ingredients come to live in new concepts and products. It was a good show for us and we will be back next year. We had great interest from buyers and we met some prospects that we were really new to us. The participation via ESSNA who set up the Sports Pavilion was very easy and put us in a great spot. The venue was in a great place; all accommodations were present under one roof.
Natalie Meijers, Communications Manager, Friesland Campina
It was all in all a great experience. The participation & set-up were made easy and pleasant by the very accommodating staff. The event and venue were the perfect place to showcase our Healthy and High End snacks. The visitors were professionals which made pitching and tasting activities focused and targeted.
Reema Maamari, Founder/General Manager, Biolicious
This was our first time exhibiting at Food Matters Live and also the first time we highlighted the food ingredients part of our business. We met a lot of interesting people with a positive attitude towards new thinking and new ideas. Food Matters Live is a great arena for trying out new aspects and ideas of your business. We have already signed up for next year’s event.
