GALLERY ROOM 7
The global prevalence of obesity is still a significant issue, with over 50% of people being overweight or obese (WHO). In Europe, weight remains in the top three consumer health concerns, according to a recent study by DSM. The food and drink sector is increasingly focusing on the potential of satiety-enhancing products as well as other ingredients to help with weight management, appetite regulation and reducing food intake.
This seminar stream will explore the latest scientific advances in understanding the relationship between specific foods and ingredients and appetite control. Leading experts will review the latest evidence linking the food-gut-brain mechanism to the regulation of hunger and satiety. They will also explore how food innovation through reformulation and new product development, can help meet the consumer demand for healthier and more satiety enhancing products.
