Food Matters Live 2018 hosted a series of thought-provoking attractions, bringing to life the learning from conference sessions and the seminar programme; through a series of interactive demonstrations, tastings and installations located within the exhibition floor.


In 2018, Food Futures Live put emphasis on provocative ideas and disruptive innovations shaping the future of food. A cast of international presenters will be showcasing some of the disruptive innovations behind new sources of sustainable nutrition and novel foods, together with entrepreneurial food technologies.

In 2018, the Innovative Ingredients Live theatre, sponsored by Intertek, featured a cast of international industry experts showcasing the nutritional science behind the application of new and emerging ingredients and nutraceuticals.

Returned in 2018, this demonstration theatre featured evidence-based insight, cooking demonstrations and tastings from an all-star international line-up of industry players, chefs and nutritionists showcasing the nutritional benefits of culinary cultures from across the globe.

The Awards showcase featured the shortlisted and winning entries of the Food Matters Live 2018 awards, situated within a central location within the exhibition. Categories will range from innovative solutions meeting the needs of the ‘better-for-you’ category, healthy eating and sustainability initiatives though to new brands rising to the ever-changing demands and palates of health conscious and trend-hungry consumers.

Supported by the UK Council for Responsible Nutrition and featuring member companies, this area was play host to a display of new products and solutions driving innovation in the dietary supplement and functional food industry. Experts will also be on hand to provide practical advice on technical and scientific practices.
