Field Doctor’s Goan Fish Curry is a low FODMAP curry specially formulated to help people with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) which effects 1 in 10 people in the UK. The term FODMAP stands for Fermentable Oligosaccharides, Disaccharides, Monosaccharides and Polyols. The Low FODMAP Diet is supported by over a decade of research and has been shown to be highly effective in reducing IBS symptoms.
Up to 80% people find their symptoms of intestinal bloating, gas and pain greatly improve when following the diet. The diet can be hard to follow as you have to restrict many common food ingredients such as wheat, dairy, legumes, onion, garlic, and lots of fruits and vegetables so we decided to create these nutritionally balanced ready meals. This meal has been certified as low FODMAP by Monash University in Australia, where the FODMAP research team is based.
Despite being low in FODMAPs, this meal is full of flavour and nutrition and has the following nutrient claims; low sugar, high in vitamin K, a source of fibre, protein, vitamin A, vitamin C and manganese. It contains 2 of your 5 a day and 11 different plant types to support good gut microbiome diversity. The hake is MSC certified and the packaging is recyclable or biodegradable
