Entry criteria for Future Brands 2021 competition

  • Open to UK businesses that have been trading for a minimum of 2 years. The business must be able to demonstrate that the brand is challenging a category in the UK market.

  • Open to international businesses who have been trading for a minimum of 2 years. Must have recently entered the UK market, or be looking to enter the UK market, and be able to demonstrate that the brand has challenged a category in other markets globally.

  • Entry fee: £149 + VAT 


Terms & Conditions for Future Brands 2021

Entries close on 28 January 2021 with successful shortlist announced week commencing 15 February 2021.

A non-refundable entry fee is applicable. Your entry is only completed when payment is received.


PRODUCT SAMPLES: 

To aid the judging process, samples are required to be evaluated alongside your entry. If you have entered the UK category, please send 6 product samples; if you have entered the International category, please send 3 product samples. 

Samples will be accepted between 26 and 28 January ONLY.

Entries received without a sample will not be judged, but you will still be charged.

The applicants are fully responsible for ensuring the samples arrive safely and for paying any delivery charges or VAT duties.


JUDGING PROCESS:

If your application is successful, you will be invited to virtually pitch your company to our jury of buyers and industry experts week commencing 1 March 2021. 

What the judges will be looking for: 

- Brand performance, brand taste, brand promise, brand impact, consumer reach. 

Each category will have a gold, silver and bronze winner.


PRIZE:
 

The shortlisted brands will receive a dedicated digital showcase on the Food Matters Live website, opportunity to virtually pitch your company to an esteemed panel of industry experts, access to the unrivalled Food Matters Live education programme, access to 1-2-1 meetings with buyers and industry experts, plus social media support.

The winning brands will also receive a video interview, a live winners podcast, and winner marketing collateral. The winners of the UK category will each also receive a report from FMCG Gurus (each report is valued between £3,500-£4,000)
