Hi, I am Dr David Vauzour

I am a Senior Research Fellow in Molecular Nutrition at the University of East Anglia, Norwich Medical School. I joined the University of East Anglia in 2011 after my post-doc training at the University of Reading. My research focuses on investigating the molecular mechanisms that underlie the positive correlation between food bioactives and a decreased risk of (neuro)degenerative disorders and to develop novel dietary strategies to delay brain ageing and cognitive decline. My recent interests concern how nutrition may modulate ApoE genotype-induced neurodegenerative disorders and the underlying molecular mechanisms (including the gut microbiota – brain axis). To date I have published over 90 peer reviewed articles and I have received major global attention for my work on nutrition and brain ageing. I sit on many journal editorial boards and currently act as the co-the Chair of the ILSI Europe “Nutrition and Brain Health Task Force”.
