Food Matters was again a very interactive and dynamic event with a strong focus on innovation in food and nutrition. The large group of Dutch companies presented a wide variety of innovative food products and concepts, both via company stands in the pavilion as well as via presentations in the lectures programme. With this year’s focus on key topics of “Sports & nutrition” and “Green proteins” the innovative power of the Dutch food ecosystem was highlighted for establishing UK partnerships.

The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands has been involved with Food Matters Live for the last 4 years. Every year we have seen the show grow bigger and incorporate a seminar programme that is topical and relevant for Dutch innovative food and drink companies. The Embassy, in close cooperation with Food Valley NL, organised a seminar about ‘Food & Exercise’ with a specific focus on proteins. Being able to hold this seminar on the 'International Innovations stage" gave us the chance to showcase Dutch innovation in food technology and to promote Anglo-Dutch cooperation in food innovation. We are already looking forward to continuing our successful collaboration with Food Matters Live.
