Head of Nutrition and Dietetics, Sodexo UK & Ireland
Wan Mak, a registered dietitian, with over 26 years of experience in the field of nutrition and dietetics, is responsible for driving all aspects of nutrition, health and wellbeing for Sodexo’s clients, consumers and employees. She provides advice to Sodexo’s executive team and senior management on topical issues around nutrition and allergens including UK and EU adopted regulations.
Wan was instrumental in the implementation of the EU allergen and nutrition regulations.
In addition, her role involves working with various government and NGOs that supports the public health agenda and is currently the chairperson of the nutrition expert group for the British Hospitality Association.
Her credentials include a first class honours degree (BSc) in food science & nutrition, a post graduate degree in Dietetics, and a Masters in Business (MBA). Some of her previous roles include: clinical dietitian for the NHS and within the private sector, Programme Director and Nutrition and Dietetics lecturer, not to mention her vast experience within the foodservices and food manufacturing industry.
