Rachel Rowntree, Managing Director, Wide Eyed Owl

Rachel has spent over 15 years working for large FMCG manufacturers covering sales and marketing roles across companies including Coca-Cola, Mars Confectionary and PepsiCo. She held senior roles which included multi million £ account management as well as designing & implementing sales and marketing strategies.

After leaving the corporate world 3 years ago she set up her own business using the knowledge gained to help entrepreneurs build their brand within the UK. Working across all sectors including Grocery, Health Food and Pharmaceutical, Rachel guides brand owners through the process of getting their products listed and selling successfully within the highly competitive UK market. With particular knowledge and success within the Holland & Barrett, building European brands and taking them to multimillion £ brands.

Nimisha Raja, Founder, Nim's Fruit Crisps

Nimisha Raja is founder of Nim’s, a multi award winning and innovative company making air dried fruit & vegetable crisps. Nimisha believes that the perfect snack or food is one that is not only devoid of any ‘bad stuff’ but more importantly, retains as much of the original nutrients, goodness as possible and tastes great too. Following a great deal of trials and tribulations, she has created just such a snack and her passion for British manufacturing has led her to setup a state of the art 10,000 sq ft production factory in Kent where she continues to work on new product development to her heart’s content.

Bob Gorton, Managing Director, Old St. Andrews

Bob Gorton began his career as an engineer and developed a passion for business through the financial management of multi-million pound technology projects in many countries across Europe, America, the Middle East and Asia. He started his own manufacturing and installation firm in 1991 with hardly any investment capital and grew it to £12m turnover within ten years.

A business practitioner and problem solver, well used to the vicissitudes of business fortune, Bob consolidated this experience with an MBA in 2001 and was elected a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing in 2002.

Bob has developed unique techniques for improving business performance by harnessing his experiences as an SME owner/director; CEO of an international organization and as an independent turnaround specialist.

He acquired Old St. Andrews Limited in 2008 as a turnaround project and has been steadily growing the business by increasing the world-wide customer base and product range.

Bob exhibits a proven track record of delivering profitable business growth - through the certain knowledge that nothing happens with out a customer. Specialties include: business strategy, financial management, sales & marketing.

Amit Hindocha, Investment Director, Mobeus Equity Partners

Amit is an Investment Director at Mobeus Equity Partners, a leading equity investor in UK-based SMEs. Mobeus invest up to £15 million into UK based companies providing attractive and flexible funding packages that include equity and loan finance. Amit led Mobeus’s investment into Tapas Revolution, one of the UK’s leading Spanish tapas casual dining restaurant chains, and serves on their board as a non-executive Director.
