Barbara Tocco

Dr Barbara Tocco is Senior Research Associate at Newcastle University (UK), Project Manager of EU Horizon 2020 Strength2Food, and Centre Manager at the National Innovation Centre for Rural Enterprise (NICRE).
She holds a PhD in Economics and is an applied social scientist in sustainable agriculture, food and the rural economy, and has contributed to various EU funded research projects in this field. She has undertaken quantitative and qualitative research on issues related to food sustainability, in particular in the context of food consumption and behaviour change, to influence perceptions and practices in relation to food quality labels, regional/ alternative food networks, and overall sustainable practices.
